Food Matters

When setting out to reach a goal. The goal has to be defined. It can not be some broad idea or fleeting thought. One must be diligent in intent. This is especially relevant to food. If one wants to truly connect with themselves and food, it is best to know your unique constitution. Your unique understanding of yourself. Yes, there are foods out there that are absolutely delicious but not necessarily good for you. To discern food is the ability to let go of the foods that do more harm than good to the body. Just because it is good does not mean it is good for you. There is no single diet that is good for everyone. Some people need to be vegetarian, some people need meat, some must reduce sugar, some need less salt, some should not eat spicy food, others should not have dairy, some need more calories, some need less, some should have carbohydrates, some should have less, and the list goes on and on. The only way to really find this out is to seek professional guidance either through Ayurveda or Traditional Chinese Medicine as these systems were the original systems of health and wellness, a nutritionist or dietician can do wonders, but this Western system can lack depth and detail to the unique individual themselves it is more broad than defined. Another way is to test foods out on yourself and see what is really working and what is not and intuitively start canceling things out. Do the research. It is truly beneficial to research what benefits you. Once you have found what really works for you, then the discipline and due diligence begins. You can not “play” a healthy lifestyle. Daily, you make the best decisions for yourself to keep yourself healthy. It is that simple, yet it is such a challenge for many. Let go of what does not serve you in mind, body, and soul. The results will speak for themselves. If someone is Truly sticking to clean eating habits and a suitable lifestyle in accordance with them, it will be easily seen in the body, skin, mental sharpness, and overall aliveness. Have the strength to care for yourself in a way that YOU truly matter. Make this life count.
