The importance of water….
The water element can take the form of liquid, steam, or ice but in our bodies this water element makes up the plasma of our cells. It is what transports the nutrients needed to every cell, cleanses or gets rid of waste products, it helps protect our joints and organs, and also maintains our body temperature. It is a vital part of our existence. The key to water is how much you, as a unique individual, needs to drink. We do not want to flood the system, nor do we want to have a system that is too dry. The middle way is important here. In certain ailments or various types of exertion, we may need more water. Focus on the lubrication quality of this element. If you feel dry and under nourished, water can bring life back into the body. There are certain instances where “you are not sick, you are thirsty”. Water also helps with normal bowel movements and digestion. Our digestive system is one of the most powerful systems that we own, and it can ultimately determine our health.

Pay attention to the elements and how they are relevant to the body. Put down the beverages that are dehydrating (coffee, energy drinks etc.), gas inducing (soda, fizzy drinks), sugary, or filled with chemicals and things the body does not understand. Water is the thing that was given to you naturally to drink. If you need it flavored add fresh cucumber, mint, lemon, ginger, or lime.
Quench your thirst and start feeling more aligned.
