Kati Basti is a process of which oil is poured into a dough frame of Urad dough. The oil is heated and sustained in the sacral or lumbar regions of the spine. This process lasts for 30 minutes and is followed by massage of the area. After the massage the area is then subjected to fomentation (Svedana). 1. Painful conditions of the low back 2. Effective for diseases such as lumbar spondylosis, disc prolapse, rheumatoid arthritis, lumbosacral strain 3. Genrally good for all chronic lower back issues Griva Basti ​A treatment very similar to Kati Basti but the procedure happens in the upper part of the spine. Same procedure different area.
